Cairo Day One

I remember this conversation I had with Dr. S (Program Director) before leaving for Egypt. I told him that despite the news we get in the states, it's actually pretty safe. The US issued travel advisory in essence says that it's alright to go to Cairo as long as you avoid the protests. I promised him that I won't get into trouble and will avoid any sort of protest.

So what do I do on my first day in Cairo? Go to Tahrir Square to watch the ongoing protests, of course. Sorry Dr. S! To be fair, it was peaceful and very interesting. Here are the pictures!
